Gotham City Sirens is still safe! With the announcement of a Joker and Harley Quinn film, there was speculation and confusion that it would take over the Sirens film. An article on Forbes stamps out the confusion for the time being. It’s still coming.
According to the author, he reached out to a WB rep to confirm whether or not the Sirens project was cancelled. To the collective relief of fans, the project helmed by director David Ayer and star Margot Robbie is still in development. While we don’t have much of a comment to go off of, it appears the execs are still interested.

While it’s clear that both projects won’t go into production at the same time, it’s unsure which will be first. Both have the directors and both have the stars. Though Gotham City Sirens was announced first, there’s no guarantee that the film will come first. There’s so many projects in development over at WB that we doubt they even know what’s going to come first. We’ll have to wait and see.
