We’ve known for some time that the good people hard at work on Fox’s hit series, Gotham, have wanted to bring in the notorious Batman villain, The Mad Hatter, a.k.a. Jervis Tetch.
Well now, thanks to Deadline, we’ve got confirmation that the character is coming to the Batman prequel series and that he’s been cast! We’ve got recent Walking Dead actor, Benedict Samuel cast “in the series regular role.”
Who is Jervis Tetch, The Mad Hatter? He is a talented hypnotist and engineer who’s speciality is creating various methods that allow for mind control. Deadline describes his character as arriving in Gotham “with an unwavering desire to find his sister, Alice, a young woman who went missing in the city years ago. It is anyone’s guess just how far down the rabbit hole he’s willing to go in order to find her.”
