Do you like to be scared? We sure do! And Disney Plus is currently bringing one of our favorite childhood scary stories to life with their live-action Goosebumps series. The show is based on the same series of novels by R.L. Stine that kicked off in the 90s. They were main staples at every Scholastic Book Fair and a must-read in our household. Today, Variety not only exclusively announced one major name joining the series but also three more members of the cast.

The first announcement was that Justin Long would be joining Goosebumps. He will take on the role of Nathan Bratt, a new schoolteacher who develops a terrifying connection to an old supernatural murder. In the second announcement, we learned that he would be joined by Ana Yi Puig, Miles McKenna and Will Price. Puig will play Isabella, an intelligent yet shy girl with an overwhelming sense of responsibility.

McKenna will play James, the class clown with a love for the spotlight who is a part of one of the wealthiest families in Port Lawrence. And finally, Price will play Jeff, the rebel skateboarder who is dealing with his father’s untimely death. Now, we know that the series will focus on five high school students, so we are excited to see who will fill in the last two roles in Goosebumps.

Per the official logline, “The series follows a group of five high schoolers who unleash supernatural focuses upon their town and must all work together – thanks to and in spite of their friendships, rivalries and pasts with each other – in order to save it, learning much about their own parents’ teenage secrets in the process.” Per reports on Variety from Disney Branded Television, the series was influenced by five of R.L. Stine’s most popular Goosebump books. We are excited to learn which ones made the cut.

We do not currently have a release date for Disney Plus’ Goosebumps. Who do you think will portray the final two high schoolers? Let us know in the comments below and on social media!
