Good news, Good Omens fans – there will be one more season! Good Omens has been renewed for a third and final season on Amazon Prime, confirmed by the show’s official account on X/Twitter earlier today. Read on to find out what we know so far.
Based on the novel co-written by Neil Gaiman and the late Terry Pratchett published in 1990, Good Omens follows the millennia-long friendship and adventures of a fussy angel, Aziraphale (Michael Sheen) and a rebellious demon named Crowley (David Tennant). Season 1 saw them averting an apocalypse, and season 2 was a little gentler, although it ended on a dramatic cliffhanger.

While season 1 covered the entirety of the original book, seasons 2 and 3 aren’t made of completely new material. Before Pratchett passed in 2015, he and Gaiman began a draft of a sequel. In a statement about the season 3 renewal, Gaiman said, “I’m so happy finally to be able to finish the story Terry and I plotted in 1989 and in 2006…Terry was determined that if we made ‘Good Omens’ for television, we could take the story all the way to the end. Season One was all about averting Armageddon, dangerous prophecies, and the End of the World. Season Two was sweet and gentle, although it may have ended less joyfully than a certain Angel and Demon might have hoped. Now in Season Three, we will deal once more with the end of the world.”
Amazon announced that Good Omens season 3 will begin filming soon in Scotland. although that’s as specific as they got. How excited are you for one last heavenly hurrah? Let us know what you want to see in season 3 in the comments, then keep an eye out for more information.
