Just when you thought Good Omens couldn’t add any more star power, it continues to shine! According to a report in Variety, actor Benedict Cumberbatch has signed on to the show as the prince of darkness himself – Satan. He really can play any role, can’t he?
Creator (with Terry Pratchett), showrunner and executive producer Neil Gaiman confirmed the news during a press junket for the series. Before you start picturing the British thespian in some horns, we have some news. Satan will actually be a “giant, animated” character. About 400 feet tall, to be exact. So it’s voice work again! It’s not made clear whether he did motion capture for the role but it’s unlikely. For those of you who just want to watch his episode, he’ll be appear in episode 6.
