Good Omens is coming back soon to lick some serious butt! No, no I mean kick butt. Kick! Amazon Prime ordered a second season based on the wildly popular book by Neil Gaiman and the late Terry Pratchett. The fantasy-comedy will bring back both Michael Sheen (Aziraphale) and David Tennant (Crowley), an angel and demon duo sent to create more shenanigans and possibly save the world from certain destruction … again.
Based on the 1990 book, Good Omens season one premiered in 2019, much to the joy of long-time fans. A television adaptation was long overdue. And the first season turned out to be a hit with most viewers. Except for that one religious group that petitioned Netflix to have the show removed from Amazon’s streaming services.

Good Omens was originally supposed to be a single mini-series and it appears the show could continue much further. Who knows what Aziraphale and Crowley will do to the world after the Antichrists are “defeated.”? Thankfully, Gaiman will remain the executive producer and co-writer to keep the feeling of the original alive. John Finnemore is set to co-write alongside Gaiman. Executive producer Douglas Mackinnon will also direct again.
There is currently no release date for Good Omens season two. However, according to Neil Gaiman’s blog they’ve been keeping the new season a secret for a while. Once the sets started being built in Scotland, they decided to make the announcement to the world. We hope the second season is just as good, if not better than the first. Stay tuned for more updates regarding our favorite supernatural duo’s return!
