According to Deadline, two highly anticipated sequel films will be coming to Hall H this year at SDCC 2018. Universal announced that Halloween and M. Night Shyamalan‘s Glass will both be there to share some goodies. Coincidentally, both films have been produced under Jason Blum, best known for his company Blumhouse Productions.

While we’ve already gotten a trailer for Halloween, it may be safe to say that Shyamalan will release it during comic con! According to the site, both films dropped trailers at CinemaCon back in April. So it shouldn’t be a surprise if we get that trailer during the biggest geek event of the year. While at CinemaCon, Shyamalan had told exhibtors about his inspiration for both Unbreakable and Split, setting up what’s going to be another look into his superhero world.

Eighteen years ago I had this idea: What if comic books were based on reality? I tried to tell the story of superheros in the real world with David Dunn (in Unbreakable). Then two years ago, I got another crazy notion: What if the afflictions and disorders that everyone in society thinks make a person bad were actually gifts? And I created the origin story for an anarchist who could be good or bad.

The film is set around security guard David Dunn (Bruce Willis) who tracks down Kevin Wendell Crumb (James McAvoy), a deeply disturbed man with 24 personalities. However, the film is called Glass, hinting that the film will be about Elijah Price aka Mr. Glass (Samuel L. Jackson) and how he ties into these two men’s lives. It’s not know if the stars will be at the panel, but given their appearance at CinemaCon, it’s possible that they’ll all be there.

It’s also unknown who will be at the Halloween panel but we have a feeling Jamie Lee Curtis will be there, given her appearance at CinemaCon. We’ll have to wait and see what kind of treats the panels will have for us but it’s good to know that we’ll be seeing them there!

What do you think about the films being at SDCC this year? Are you looking forward to it? Be sure to come back to Geek Girl Authority for much more upcoming SDCC news. Halloween comes to theaters October 9th and Glass rolls into theaters January 18th, 2019.
