I love anything horror and I love podcasts so clearly; I love anything that mixes the two. So when I heard about Ghost Town Killer, a new crime drama podcast, I knew this was going to be for me. Just look at that title! The narrative drama comes from the minds of Jeremy Lutter and Marcy Waughtal. They are filmmakers who adopted the podcast format to tell a story safely during COVID.

Ghost Town Killer is a detective story about the post-truth world. It follows paranormal investigator turned journalist Lilith Black (Dalila Bela). She is investigating the death of her sister Amanda (Emily Tennant). But things aren’t so easy as her hometown has quite a lot of secrets and is on the verge of financial ruin. Lilith comes to realize that facts don’t always change minds as she challenges the long-standing prejudices in her town to uncover who her sister’s killer is.

This project has a large cast of amazing experienced TV actors and actresses to bring this story to life. Alongside Bela and Tennant, Ghost Town Killer includes audio work from Dakota Daulby, Hiro Kanagawa, Olivia Cheng, Matthew MacCaull, Curtis Lam, Johannah Newmarch, Gabriel Carter and Andre Tricoteux. Chase Horseman has provided music for the series and Lutter does sound design. It also includes songs from Sydney Scotia and Rozalind MacPhail.
