One of the CW’s newest DC related properties, Legends of Tomorrow, will get a major kick in the pants in its second season. As we learned in the season finale last year, via the appearance of Hourman, the Justice Society of America is coming to the small screen this year! We saw our intrepid heroes and villains from both The Flash and Arrow all band together to travel through time and defeat Vandal Savage (Casper Krump) once and for all, but now a new threat will emerge in The Legion of Doom, as we learned at San Diego Comic Con just a couple short weeks ago.
To fight the Legion of Doom, consisting of Captain Cold (Wentworth Miller), Malcolm Merlyn (John Barrowman), Damien Darhk (Neal McDonough) and Reverse-Flash (Matt Letscher), the Legends are going to need more than what they’ve got, especially with Hawkgirl and Hawkman now no longer a part of the team.
That’s where the Justice Society of America will come in. And, as we’ve learned from Executive Producer Marc Guggenheim, they will have a logo — and it’s pretty bad ass. He tweeted it out late yesterday like a proud papa with his baby.

As you can see, the new logo harkens back to the more original designs from the JSA from it’s inception in All-Star Comics #3 in 1940, utilizing the Golden Age imagery and American patriotism of a Shield and Eagle with that classic art deco lettering.
Other than Rex Tyler, aka Hourman, we’ve also got Obsidian, Stargirl and Doctor Mid-Nite joining the ranks of the JSA in the second season of Legends of Tomorrow.
