Gen V Season 2
The world of Godolkin University is about to expand. We learned that seven new cast members have joined Gen V Season 2. The Boys spin-off series, which debuted with an eight-episode first season on September 29, 2023, just wrapped filming for its sophomore season.
So, who can we expect to see on our screens in Season 2? Keeya King (Yellowjackets), Tait Fletcher (The Mandalorian), Stephen Kalyn (Transplant), Julia Knope (Impulse), Stacey McGunnigle (Detention Adventure; writer for This Hour Has 22 Minutes), Wyatt Dorion (The Mouse Trap) and Georgie Murphy (Accused) will join Gen V in recurring roles. At this time, Prime Video is keeping details regarding their characters under lock and key. This past summer, it was announced that Hamish Linklater (Midnight Mass) would play the new Dean of God U., Cipher.

Where We Left Off
Season 1 concludes with the Godolkin Massacre, which sees Cate (Maddie Phillips) and Sam (Asa Germann) free the prisoners in the Woods. Said prisoners wreak havoc on the supe college campus. Meanwhile, Marie (Jaz Sinclair), Emma (Lizze Broadway), Jordan (London Thor / Derek Luh) and Andre (Chance Perdomo) fight tooth and nail to save everyone.
Homelander (Antony Starr) steps in to incapacitate Marie and her friends. Then, Vought entraps the quartet in a windowless, doorless room. The media hails Cate and Sam as the Guardians of Godolkin, framing Marie, Jordan, Andre and Emma as murderers. The final moments of the season finale show Billy Butcher (Karl Urban) discovering the supe-killing virus that the late Dean Shetty (Shelley Conn) helped create.
Sam and Cate recently crossed over into The Boys Season 4, making pivotal moves in the season finale by targeting and capturing our titular Boys team on behalf of Vought and Homelander.

Gen V pleasantly surprised me when it debuted last year. It feels like it belongs in The Boys universe without trying too hard to imitate it. I’m particularly excited to see who Keeya King will play in the second season. I’m also curious how the writers will handle Andre’s exit due to Chance Perdomo’s unfortunate passing. We might need to keep a box of tissues on hand, folks.
