Filming on Captain Marvel, the movie Avengers: Infinity War left us anxious to see, is nearly completed, and Gemma Chan has wrapped her role as Minn-Erva, according to an Instagram post.

Chan’s post comes two days after co-director Ryan Fleck used Instagram to announce that filming had finished in California and was moving to Louisiana for the final two weeks.
Neither Chan nor Fleck showed much beyond Captain Marvel branded apparel in their posts. Looks like nobody wants to compete with Tom Holland for the title of “most likely to spoil” a Marvel Cinematic Universe film.

Marvel.com says that in the comics, Chan’s character, Minn-Erva, A.K.A. Doctor Minerva, is “an exceptional scientist and spy in the Kree military” who came to Earth “because she gained knowledge that (dude) Captain Marvel had a genetic code that might unlock the potential of their race.” It’s widely believed that the Kree/Skrull war will factor significantly in Captain Marvel.
We know that Agent Coulson (Clark Gregg) is returning to the big screen for the first time since his dramatic death in The Avengers, and after everything he’s been through with the Kree on Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D., it’ll be interesting to see how he and Minn-Erva occupy the same space in this film.
