With Gamescon 2018 this week we are in for a ton of upcoming announcements. During Microsoft‘s Inside Xbox show we were given the release date for Capcom‘s Devil May Cry 5! The official release date will be on March 8, 2019 for Xbox One, PS4, and PC. The third person shooter was showcased during Xbox’s E3 panel this past June and continues the long running series that follows Nero’s battle against the forces of evil in Red Grave City. While a powerful force on his own while using his sword “Red Queen” or the long range firepower of his “Blue Rose” handgun, they are nothing without his Devil Breaker arm.

Nero has enlisted the self-proclaimed weapons artist Nico to design unique Devil Breaker arms for him. These arms will give him extra powers in order to crush the demons he needs to face. Nico will not be Nero’s only partner. Players will see the return of Dante in Devil May Cry 5, a demon hunter in his own right. Between the three of them they will need to bring an end to this nightmare in Red Grave City. Players will experience a high octane battle that will keep them on the edge of their seats.
As a fan of the Devil May Cry series I am having trouble holding in my excitement for this. Everything that has come out regarding Devil May Cry 5 has me practically screaming. Nero is just the high energy character that is needed to carry this game as well as pulling in series favorites like Dante. It has been far too long since we have seen a proper sequel in this amazing series. With the upgrade in technology since the last one, we are in for a real treat including photo realistic character designs!
