If there is one game that I have been patiently waiting to hear more about, it is Cris Tales. The action adventure RPG (role playing game) is Dreams Uncorporated, SYCK and Modus Games‘ love letter to the classic JRPG (Japanese role playing game) of yesteryear. Well you had better believe that I was beyond excited to see the brand new trailer during Gamescom 2020 today.

The new trailer shows off two additional companions for Crisbell’s journey. JKR-721 and Zas are going to be able to join in the battle against The Empress. With their addition Cris Tales is up to four additional characters alongside Crisbell. I hope, following in the footsteps of other RPGs, that we are going to see more before the games release. The trailer also takes things a step further and shows off new gameplay. This is the first time we are seeing new zones along with new battle scenes.

If you have not gotten the change to experience the demo for Cris Tales, it is still available through their website and on Steam. It gives players the chance to experience roughly the first 45 minutes of gameplay. We are introduced to navigating the world alongside the combat system. The best part, though, is that the demo also gives us a chance to experience the time mechanic. I highly suggest checking it out before the game officially releases.

Cris Tales will release on November 17, 2020 for PC through Steam, PlayStation 4, Xbox One and Nintendo Switch.
