How are your guts, everybody? Mine sure are twisted after Game of Thrones Episode 6. It still hurts. The preview for the final episode of season 7 was released, so let’s break it down!
You wouldn’t expect that the preview for the final episode would tell us all that much, and it doesn’t. But we can certainly see that we’re going back to Westeros to hash this all out. The preview starts on the Unsullied, ready for battle. Grey Worm is in the field and ready. Last we saw Grey Worm, he took Casterly Rock, but was surrounded by Greyjoy ships. It looks now, like Grey Worm has brought the fight to Jaime Lannister at Highgarden. Daenerys, Tyrion and Jon are entering the lion’s den and approaching King’s Landing, the water thick with Greyjoy armada. And, the Unsullied have brought the Dothraki with them.
If we think Jaime Lannister doesn’t have something up his sleeve, we must be wrong. There’s no way that Cersei invites the rulers of the realm, and doesn’t use it to her advantage. Have Tyrion and Daenerys set the trap that they discussed by the fire in episode 6? Will Cersei have the upper hand again?
Sansa is alone at Winterfell. Though Brienne is going to King’s Landing, Sansa still has Arya. They aren’t on great terms, but Arya will come to her aide, and I don’t believe that she’ll actually hurt her sister. Littlefinger must make some kind of move in the final episode, and fingers crossed, she’ll kill him herself. After all, Arya handed Sansa the Cat’s Paw dagger, and it just has to find it’s way into Littlefinger’s heart, right?!?

And, of course there’s the big meeting. For the first time since both of their fathers were murdered, Cersei will be in the same place as Tyrion, who killed her father. Jon will be in the same place as Cersei, who killed his father. We don’t see Brienne or Daenerys in those shots. It seems that Daenerys may have been convinced that Jon and Tyrion should be her proxies, as now Jon has bent the knee. You can see Davos, Jorah, Brienne and Podrick in tow, among others. Cersei has Jaime sitting beside her, so either he escapes the Unsullied unharmed, or the meeting happens in the beginning of the episode, with plenty of time for battle.
If an alliance is made, and I think it will be, as the raiding party was successful in bringing a wight back with them (what a horrible trade) … things get ultimately far more complicated.
Regardless, the big question we’re all asking, is how long will it take for Viserion (of course it was the bad brother) the newly made ice dragon, to confront his brothers, and the lands south of the wall. I have a feeling we’ll see him again before the season’s end. Let’s go, HBO. ‘There’s only one war that matters. And, it is here.’
