If you haven’t already, you need to start your Game of Thrones rewatch now.  You have until April 14, 2019, before the start of the final season.  The official date was revealed in the first teaser for the final season that will consist of only six episodes.

Three months is a long time to wait, especially when we know so little about what’s in store for viewers.  So seeing this teaser, the Crypts of Winterfell raises my curiosity about the fate of the Stark Family and it raises my blood pressure.

The teaser starts with Jon Snow (Kit Harrington) walking past Lyanna Stark’s statue near her grave. She says “you have to protect him.”  The feather in Lyanna’s hand falls to the ground. Sansa Stark (Sophie Turner) walks past her mother’s grave. Aria Stark (Maisie Williams) is also in the crypts as we hear their mother, Catelyn Stark (Michelle Fairley) talk about the horror that has come to her family all because she couldn’t love a motherless child. Jon walks past Ned Stark’s (Sean Bean) grave, we hear him say that Jon is a Stark. He may not have his name, but he has his blood.

The Stark family meet and turn to see statues of themselves.  Each Stark looks at their own before the wind blows out the torch in Jon’s hand. They hear something behind them and turn to look. Jon and Aria draw their swords as ice begins to surround them.

It’s chilling to watch and a little worrisome.  Each statue looks exactly like the character as they are now. Does this mean the Starks are doomed to die?  And what about Bran Stark (Isaac Hempstead Wright)?  He’s the only Stark child that is not in the teaser.

Ahhhh! So many questions!  We’re so close to all of the answers.  So watch the teaser below and let us know in the comments what you think the statues mean.

Game of Thrones season 8 premieres Sunday, April 19 on HBO.
