Mireille Enos is Here For The Asteroid Phase
As For All Mankind enters its asteroid mining phase, they will be welcoming at least one new cast member to the party. Deadline reports Mireille Enos (The Killing, Hanna)) will join the cast for season 5 of the Apple TV+ space drama.
Alternate Decades
If you’re not familiar with the show (and you really should be), here’s a little primer. Created by Ronald D. Moore, Matt Wolpert and Ben Nedivi, For All Mankind takes place in an alternate timeline in which the Russians beat NASA to the moon in 1969. But in this case, coming in second is a good thing. This is because it forces the United States to open opportunities to women in the space program. What kicks off is an entirely new view of the history of space travel. Each season jumps a decade in the future, with Season 4 playing out in an alternate aughts where public and private space organizations were busy colonizing Mars.

There’s a New Peacekeeper in Town
For All Mankind Season 5 will center around the drama of humanity’s first attempt to mine a captured asteroid. With the debate growing around who gets to benefit from the asteroid’s bounty, tensions will rise on the now sprawling Mars base. Enos will play Celia Boyd, a member of the Peacekeeping Security Force on the Red Planet. It’s unknown how all this will play out, but whenever the word “peacekeeping” is combined with big money and government, it usually means the opposite.
Reunited (Again)
Mireille Enos once again finds herself sharing screen time with her co-star from The Killing Joel Kinnaman. The two were also cast mates in the assassin series Hanna, Amazon’s straight-to-series reboot of the 2011 feature. She was most recently seen opposite Tim Blake Nelson in the indie film On The End.
