Sitting in front of a computer monitor for 40+ hours a week can take a toll on your mind and body. To keep my brain and body healthy, I take a 10-minute walk every two hours and make sure I get movement during lunch. I also have an electric standing desk so I can alternate between sitting and standing throughout the day.
But what about sitting? I still need to take care of my body while seated and I want to be friends with my back. To do this, I always make sure that I have an ergonomically pleasing chair. I already have a Flexispot Standing Desk and my husband uses the FlexiSpot C7 Ergonomic Chair. I’ve been very happy with FlexiSpot’s products so far and this time I’m taking a look at the C5 Ergonomic Standard Office Chair.

The FlexiSpot C5 Ergonomic Office Chair was delivered in a very big box which was to be expected. It was heavy, also to be expected. If you have back issues you may want to get someone to help bring it in with you. However, the weight of the items inside the box let me know that the chair is made with quality material.
C5 Chair Assembly
I am easily intimidated by furniture assembly. Thanks, Ikea! But this one was relatively breezy. It had fewer parts than the FlexiSpot C7 chair and it took me less than an hour to put it together. Very simple and straightforward.
Let’s Put This Chair to Use!
First and foremost, this chair is very comfortable. I was worried about the seat being foam and fabric – I usually select the mesh option because of wear and tear. However, with this seat, I was incredibly pleased with the comfort level and the foam and fabric are not chintzy.
A good thing to note is that this chair has a larger seat space as well. So if you have trouble feeling too confined in most seat widths, the C5 is worth a look. The legs are longer as well which provides more stability.
The chair back is breathable mesh and also quite comfortable. My spine felt good. It took a second to find the right setting for my body but now it’s set. You can adjust the seat height, armrests, lumbar support, and tilt angle to find what’s right for you.
And, finally, the design is modern and sleek. It looks very nice in my workspace.
Is The C5 Ergonomic Office Chair Worth It?
If you’re looking to invest in your mind and body health, this chair is definitely worth it. The ergonomic support of the chair made my spine and core happy. This is a very good choice for those looking to improve their sitting experience in their workspace.
