Marve Studios' Eternals arrives in November

The trailer for Marvel Studio’s Eternals is here and we finally get a closer look at the newest or actually oldest batch of superheroes. The trailer lets us know that the Eternals have always been with us, they just don’t get involved in human affairs … until now.

First, who’s who in Eternals. Richard Madden plays Ikaris, the leader of the alien superheroes; Gemma Chan portrays Sersi, Ikaris’ love interest; Angelina Jolie plays Thena; Lauren Ridloff plays Makkari, the first deaf superhero; Brian Tyree Henry will play Phatos, the first openly gay superhero. Rounding out the cast is Don Lee as Gilgamesh, Kumail Nanjiani as Kingo, Salma Hayek plays Ajak, Lia McHugh is Sprite, and Barry Keoghan plays Druig. And then there’s Kit Harington is Dane Whitman, a.k.a. the Black Knight, who doesn’t arrive with the Eternals, but is a big part of the story. Throughout the trailer, we also get a good look at what these ancient superheroes can do.

The trailer starts with the arrival of the Eternals at the dawn of humanity, set to the tune The End of the World. Sersi thinks the place is beautiful. They influence everything about humanity, from water irrigation to weapons. The Eternals basically give humanity civilization. And now humans have changed and it’s time for the Eternals to interfere. Now since Captain Rogers (Chris Evans) and Iron Man (Robert Downey Jr.) are both gone, who will lead the Avengers now? Ikaris volunteers but everyone at the table laughs at him.

The film is directed by the Academy Award winner Chloe Zhao, the second woman in history to win the Best Director category at the Oscars. You can check out the trailer and official poster below.

Eternals will premiere in theaters in November 2021.

The epic story, spanning thousands of years, features a group of immortal heroes forced out of the shadows who reunite against mankind’s oldest enemy, The Deviants. – Marvel.com
