We saw the concept art for Doctor Strange’s Sanctum Sanctorum yesterday.
Now, today, Louis D’Esposito, Executive Producer for Marvel, posted this pic to his Twitter. And this, to me, is proof that the nerds won.
In case you missed it, this is the Window of the Worlds in Doctor Strange’s Sanctum Sanctorum. Doctor Strange is such a … well, strange character and obscure to anyone outside of diehard Marvel fandom. And yet, here we have pictorial proof that a film about this weird character is being made. Not only that, but this picture looks amazing, so it’s apparently being made very well, and with a stellar cast that includes Benedict Cumberbatch in the titular role along with Chiwetel Ejiofor and Tilda Swinton.

Other than this being the Window of the Worlds in Doctor Strange’s Sanctum Sanctorum, there’s not a lot to tell about this particular picture except that, maybe, the Seal of the Vishanti was a later renovation to an older house in Greenwich Village where Dr. Stephen Strange already lived. Which is exactly the case in the comics.
Beyond that though, this picture is designed, pure and simple, to get die hard fans energized.
