First BLACK WIDOW Trailer Brings in the Family

We have all been patiently waiting for the release of the first trailer for the upcoming Black Widow film from Marvel and Kevin Feige, and that patience has paid off. Early this morning, they released the very sizable trailer showcasing some previously seen footage of her past with some added footage showing the direction of the film. It was directed by Cate Shortland, written by Jac Schaeffer and Ned Benson. Natasha Romanoff, portrayed by Scarlett Johansson, is going to her roots to finally face her past.

In the trailer we are introduced to someone who appears to be an old colleague, but to our surprise Natasha refers to her as sis. This new female assassin is Yelena, played by Florence Pugh. From here we get a few action sequences as Natasha explains that they need to tie up her past and return to where it all began. During the action scenes, we get a glimpse at Taskmaster, who appears to be the overall villain for the film.

Finally we are introduced to David Harbour‘s character Red Guardian who has broken out of some kind of prison and another Black Widow known as Iron Maiden portrayed by Rachel Weisz. Natasha has said in previous Marvel movies that she has no family except the team, which leads us to believe that she viewed these group of people as family as well. Black Widow has wrapped on filming, so we can be sure to see more trailers before its final release.

Black Widow has a release date for May 1st, 2020 in the USA. Check back in with us for future news and check out their IMDb page as well.
