Legends of Tomorrow delivered some pretty heavy moral quandaries last night. They know a kid grows up to be a dictator and genocidal maniac, but he’s still just a child. So, what do you do? Do you kill the boy knowing that you’ve saved billions of lives? Or do you let him live? Are you a hero if you save countless lives at the expense of taking one very young life?
Obviously, it’s the CW, so they aren’t going to have their heroes killing children, but it was still a great episode that saw Rip Hunter (Arthur Darvill) really struggling against himself and what he knew was right because he so desperately wants to save his family and dethrone Vandal Savage (Casper Crump).
It looks like in next week’s episode we finally get to meet Jonah Hex (Johnathon Schaech)! And, according to this sneak peek at the episode, titled “The Magnificent Eight,” he is well aware of time travelers as he says to Rip, “You time travelers cause trouble.” Is Rip the only one he knows? Has he met others?
Other than seeing some great Old West fist fights, we don’t get a lot of substance from this trailer — but who needs that when your guest character is Jonah Hex?
When the team needs a place to hide out, Rip (Arthur Darvill) sets a course for the Old West. Upon arrival, they start a fight with a gang of outlaws, putting the small town in jeopardy. Luckily, an old friend of Rip’s, Jonah Hex (guest star Johnathon Schaech), steps in to save them.
