Guys, this is not a drill! The Queen of Geeks Felicia Day shared on Twitter that she is getting The Guild group back together. This upcoming Thursday April 16, 2020 from 7 pm to 10 pm PST they will be streaming Dungeons and Dragons on Felicia’s Twitch channel. They will be joined by Amy Vorpahl, who is taking over the role of the dungeon master. During the stream they’ll be raising money for No Kid Hungry, a national campaign run by Share Our Strength that’s working to solve hunger in the United States and around the world.
If you aren’t familiar with The Guild first I’m sorry and second go watch it now! Originally released back in 2007 on YouTube, it follows Codex (Felicia Day) and her guild mates Zaboo (Sandeep Parikh), Vork (Jeff Lewis), Bladezz (Vincent Caso), Clara (Robin Thorsen), and Tinkerballa (Amy Okuda). We see them navigate life after Zaboo shows up on Codex’s doorstep in real life. The show spanned over six seasons with a total of 70 episodes. They each run anywhere from four minutes to no more than roughly ten minutes making it perfect for binge watching. It’s available to watch on Netflix now so get yourself caught up!
We aren’t sure exactly what type of story Amy Vorpahl will spin for The Guild, but just the idea of the group getting back together is going to be great! I hope they take on the roles of their characters for the run. However, even just seeing them back together is worth every moment. So clear your schedule for Thursday and I’ll see you there!
