January has nearly come to an end, and we are officially one month down in 2024. As we head into the shortest month, we are excited to share that the video game industry has packed some pretty heavy hitters into the 29-day month. From remakes of our favorite games to setting off to explore mysterious and terrifyingly terrific worlds, we have something for everyone. Which of our most anticipated video games for February are on your list?

Mario vs Donkey Kong

An age-old rivalry returns in the upcoming puzzle platformer Mario vs. Donkey Kong. Donkey Kong has stolen all of the Mini-Mario toys from the factory, and it’s up to Mario to get them back. Donkey Kong is smarter than the average gorilla, though, and hasn’t made it easy. Travel across eight worlds and lead the micro Marios to safety through over 120 perilous levels. A friend can even help you out as Toad in Two-Player Mode; hooray for couch co-op!

This game will work your hands and brains with its interesting combination of tricky puzzles and classic run-and-jump Mario gameplay. I am especially looking forward to the arcade-style boss battles with Donkey Kong at the end of each level. It brings me back to playing the original Donkey Kong arcade game as a kid, and I love those nostalgic moments.

Mario vs. Donkey Kong releases February 16, 2024, on the Nintendo Switch

Brothers: A Tale of Two Sons Remake

Who doesn’t love a video game centered around sibling love and support? 505 Games is back with a remake of one of their most beloved franchises, Brothers: A Tale of Two Sons Remake. Players can either head out on this adventure alone or team up with a friend. In an attempt to save their father’s life, the brothers set out to find the mysterious “Water of Life.” Each has their own unique abilities and traits to contribute to the cause, but what they can do together will help them in the end.

Brothers: A Tale of Two Sons Remake drops on February 28, 2024, for PC through Steam, PlayStation 5, and the Xbox Series X/S.

I’m a big fan of horror all year round, but something feels extra special about new horror coming out during the month of love. CLeM is a narrative-driven puzzle adventure game developed by Mango Protocol. Players will explore an abandoned house and solve puzzles to reveal the truth behind the unsettling story with themes of ride, redemption, forgiveness and manipulation. Fuse objects together to create magical toys, discover hidden secrets, and uncover items from the past that will aid in the quest.

CLeM will be available for Nintendo Switch and PC on February 6th, 2024.

Skull and Bones

Prepare to set sail and adventure across vast oceans in Ubisoft‘s upcoming action-adventure title, Skull and Bones. Players have one goal – to become the most fearsome pirate kingpin on the seven seas. You know we love a good pirate tale, but it’s hard to ignore just how truly beautiful this title is. Just imagine setting sail and seeing these coasts on the horizon. Get ready to face everything from wild weather to fellow pirates looking to make a name for themselves. You won’t want to miss this.

Skull and Bones drops on February 16, 2024, for PC through the Epic Game Store, PS5, and Xbox Series X/S.
