Things keep getting worse on Fear the Walking Dead. Last week, it was revealed that Victor (Colman Domingo) took Troy’s (Daniel Sharman) daughter Tracy (Antonella Rose). In “Keeping Her Alive,” Victor turns to Madison for help in his latest attempt for redemption.
June (Jenna Elfman), Sherry (Christina Evangelista) and Dove/Odessa (Jayla Walton) return to the island with Dwight (Austin Amelio) and discover that Victor has Tracy. Victor thought that if he were to give Tracy back to Troy, then PADRE would be safe. June likes the idea of giving the girl back to her father. But she also thinks its a good idea to give Victor to Troy as well, since he’s the one who found the girl. Frank (Isha Blaaker) is concerned for Victor, who promises to return to PADRE.
June calls Troy on the boat ride to the mainland with Victor and Tracy tied up. Tracy also has a blindfold on so she can’t tell Troy how to get there. Victor does his best to talk June out of giving them up, saying Troy will kill him and hurt Tracy. June finds it funny that Victor is allowed to change, but Troy isn’t. They all know that he’s just looking out for himself. Victor insists that he’s trying to build the world that Alicia wanted.

Troy answers. June says they will return Tracy provided that he will not try to take PADRE. He believes June is in on the kidnapping of his daughter. In an act of good faith, June offers up Victor as well. She also tells him that Madison is no longer at PADRE, so any beef they have has nothing to do with them. Troy agrees and asks them to meet him at the hotel.
Out of self preservation, Victor removes Tracy’s blindfold so she can see where PADRE is. They both jump off after Victor disables the boat and swim to the shore. Victor can’t go to Troy because he will kill him. And he can’t go back to PADRE because they will give him to Troy. There’s only one other person he trusts to ask for help: Madison (Kim Dickens).
Madison decided to search for Alicia’s corpse to put her to rest. When Victor catches up with her, she’s annoyed that Victor took Tracy. He honestly believes he was doing the right thing for the safety and security of PADRE. Everyone else believes he was only trying to save his own skin.

Victor recognizes the St. Christopher’s medallion around Tracy’s neck. He tells Madison that he gave Alicia that same necklace. So Tracy must know how to find Walking Alicia. Madison agrees to help Victor, but first they have to find Alicia. One thing to note, Tracy does not like Madison at all. Troy told Tracy everything about Madison. She says Madison killed her mother. But she has no choice but to help Madison so she can return to her father.
Luciana (Danay Garcia) tries to stop Madison and Victor. She wants to take Tracy back back to Troy, but Daniel (Rubén Blades) says Troy will attack no matter what. He tells Luciana to let them go. Then Daniel pulls Luciana aside and says Victor probably already has a deal with Troy. He needs to get close to them to find out what’s really going on. Daniel offers to help Madison find Alicia and they leave.
Troy told Tracy about Daniel as well … and his daughter Ofelia. She says Ofelia died because she tried to poison a bunch of people. Daniel corrects her, saying his daughter died defending Troy’s settlement when Troy led a herd of the dead to destroy it. Victor picks upon the notion that Daniel is only there to get revenge on Troy. He decides to take Tracy and run, but Daniel stops him, taking off with Madison and Tracy.

Victor is left behind and runs into an encampment of walkers. The wrap-around pulls up and saves him. There are three young women in the wrap-around, all of them dressed like Alicia. They were all saved by Alicia and lived in a settlement with her until Troy killed Alicia. The fangirls are now going around helping people in Alicia’s name. They heard Madison’s message over the radio to go to PADRE. They also knew Troy would hear it and go after Madison. Troy is more dangerous than he was before.
Victor radios Madison, asking to talk to Tracy. Troy answers, wanting to know where his daughter is. Victor says she’s with Daniel and Madison to find Alicia. He offers to help Tracy, but Troy has to tell them where to find Alicia. Victor thinks he’s the only person who can help Tracy because Troy and his people don’t have vehicles, but not for long …
Troy and his people show up on Luciana’s roads. Luciana doesn’t want to get involved. She offers to let Troy use the roads to get his daughter back. Troy wants more than the road and is willing to take it by force. He tells his men to move in and take anything worth taking. That’s when PADRE shows up. Now Troy is outnumbered. It was a trap. Troy is confident that he can take on all of PADRE. Luciana tells him to stand down so they can help him. Troy calls Victor on the radio and tells him to make sure that Tracy is okay. Victor promises and asks where to find them.

Madison, Daniel and Tracy make their way through the walker canyon. Daniel realizes the herd is a collection. He thinks they should leave, but Madison is determined to find Alicia. They walk further into the canyon and Tracy points out a walker to Madison. Madison walks up to the woman and realizes it’s not Alicia. It’s Tracy’s mother.
Tracy pushes Madison into the walker, hoping the walker would kill Madison. Madison doesn’t know who Tracy’s mother is, but the mom knows who Madison is. She believed in Madison’ message that no one is gone until they’re gone and it got her killed. How? That’s never explained. Madison surmises that Tracy has no idea where Alicia is. This was a trick to get Madison killed. And now that Tracy knows where PADRE is, there’s only one thing to do with the kid.
Daniel ties Tracy to a tree in the middle of the herd. Tracy pleads for her life, saying she does know where Troy killed Alicia. In a mansion in Fort Worth. Madison doesn’t believe her. She pushes a walker toward Tracy so it can bite her. Victor arrives to stop her from killing Tracy. He introduces Madison to the Alicia Clark fan club, saying Alicia’s legacy lives on.

Tracy gets loose as the ground starts to thaw enough for other walkers to break free. Victor calls out to Tracy to stop her. She says they are all exactly how Troy described them. She says Madison and Daniel were going to kill her and runs away. Madison starts to go after Tracy because she knows how to get to PADRE. The AC fan club offers to help defend PADRE and Madison leaves with them.
The wrap around comes up on Luciana’s trap. There are random fires and people are hurt. Luciana calls out to Daniel and says Troy and his men attacked them. Victor finds Frank trying to help a man from bleeding out. The man dies, and Franc vows to stop the man who did this.
Troy got away. Madison is worried that he will find Tracy and find PADRE. She knows that Troy plans to use the walkers in the canyon to destroy PADRE. They have to gather everyone and prepare. Madison asks about the roads, indenting to leave and find Alicia in Fort Worth. Luciana promises to take her after the battle with Troy is over.

Madison formally meets the fan girls. They know her from the video that she made for Al. She thinks Victor put them up to this, pretending to know Alicia. Madison says Alicia and Nick are both gone and nothing on those tapes mean anything anymore. Victor tries to convince her that her words do matter. He’s trying to stop her from doing something irrational, because let’s face it. Nothing she has done so far has worked out.
Madison pulls out a gun and points it at Victor. She says someone has to stop Troy. She gets into the wrap-around and says the only way she can help everyone is to finish what she started 10 years ago at the dam. As she drives away, Victor yells at Madison, saying this isn’t the way to end things.
