If you had an inkling to watch the upcoming R.L. Stine horror film trilogy, let me convince you how worth it this will be! We got a new trailer for Fear Street during the third day of Netflix’s Geeked Week event. The three-part horror anthology will roll out over three consecutive weeks in July, each focusing on a year in Shadyside’s brutal history.

Fear Street Part 1 occurs in 1994 and follows a circle of friends who accidentally encounter the ancient evil responsible for a series of brutal murders that have plagued their town for over 300 years. In Fear Street Part 2, the year jumps back to 1978 as activities at Camp Nightwing are about to begin. However, another Shadysider is possessed with the urge to kill and the fun in the sun becomes a gruesome fight to survive.

In the final chapter, Fear Street 3, we are transported back to 1666, where the origins of Sarah Fier’s curse come to light as history comes full circle on a night that changes everyone’s lives forever. Seriously, even just reading through these summaries, I am beyond excited! And what is even more exciting is that this isn’t your middle school R.L. Stine novel. Oh no, no, my friends. These are meant to be truly scary and the trailer really helps showcase that.
