Malkovich and Ineson Join Fantastic Four

Two actors have been announced for the upcoming Marvel Studios Fantastic Four adaptation: Ralph Ineson and John Malkovich. We know what role one of the two actors will play. However, the other will appear in a currently undisclosed part. Naturally, this opens up the door to speculation.

Ineson will play Galactus. While we still do not have a specific plot, the appearance of Galactus is no surprise whatsoever. We already knew that his herald, Silver Surfer, would be involved. This was thanks to the previously announced casting of Julia Garner as Shalla Bal.

Character Possibilities

But what part will Malkovich play? This information is currently being kept under wraps. Obviously, the first and most obvious possible answer would be: “Doctor Victor Von Doom.” The Latverian despot (and possibly the sole hope for humanity’s ongoing survival) is perhaps the most well-known antagonist of the Fantastic Four. Doom’s also one of the most popular Marvel characters, period. Malkovich has the weight to carry the role.

However, there are many other possibilities as well. For just one, consider the very first villain ever faced by the Fantastic Four: Mole Man and his army of Moloids. Alternatively, Malkovich could be playing one of the good guys. I mean, does anyone know what H.E.R.B.I.E. sounds like?

Meanwhile, Paul Walter Hauser will also appear in an undisclosed role (although perhaps he’s playing H.E.R.B.I.E.). It’s written by Josh FriedmanJeff KaplanIan Springer and Eric Pearson and directed by Matt Shakman
