War Is Brewing in FANTASTIC BEASTS: THE SECRETS OF DUMBLEDORE Trailer

The latest trailer for Warner Bros Fantastic Beasts: The Secrets of Dumbledore builds up the tension as the Wizarding World spirals towards an all-out war. We get glimpses at the heroes, villains and Mads Mikkelsen‘s Grindelwald. We got our first glimpse of Mikkelsen with his poster art, but we now get to see him in action. The latest trailer helps fill in some details surrounding his plans for Dumbledore (Jude Law) and his army.

The Fantastic Beasts: The Secrets of Dumbledore opens with older Albus (Michael Gambon) talking about memories as we are shifted back to the current timeline of the Fantastic Beasts films. Grindelwald is preparing his army for an all-out war against the Muggle world, but Dumbledore and his army aren’t about to let it happen. The trailer (and even title of the film) plays heavily into the idea that Dumbledore has his own fair share of secrets and watching Law and Mikkelsen discuss tearing down the world gives me goosebumps.

The trailer also features Eddie Redmayne (Newt), Dan Fogler (Jacob), Ezra Miller (Aurelius Dumbledore), Jessica Williams (Professor Lily Hicks) and Callum Turner (Theseus). We are still missing Katherine Waterston‘s Tina Goldstein, who worked alongside Newt in the first two films. She is listed as being in the movie, but her role so far has been pretty hush-hush. With her sister Queenie (Alison Sudol) being convinced to swap to Grindelwald’s side, I can’t imagine she will stick to the sidelines.

Fantastic Beasts: The Secrets of Dumbledore will hit theaters on April 15, 2022. We’ve dropped the trailer and new poster for your enjoyment below. What are your thoughts on the new trailer? Let us know in the comments below and on social media!
