FANTASTIC BEASTS: THE CRIMES OF GRINDELWALD Character Posters Show New Character

Erin Lynch

There’s some new, exciting things happening in the wizarding world. Today we got new posters from Fantastic Beasts: The Crimes of Grindelwald, thanks to Pottermore. Not only are they pretty, but they also give us clues into the plot of the film. We also got a proper introduction to one of the new characters coming in the film.

One thing that’s immediately noticeable is the relationship of the characters. Newt Scamander (Eddie Redmayne) and Dumbledore (Jude Law) are together, Leta Lestrange (Zoë Kravitz) and her fiance Theseus Scamander (Callum Turner) appear. But then there’s hints like Jacob (Dan Fogler) and Queenie (Alison Sudol) being together. Will they be reunited? Credence (Ezra Miller) and Grindelwald (Johnny Depp) are together as well. In the first film, Credence trusted Grindelwald, so will be go back to the Dark wizard’s side? Nagini (Claudia Kim) is no where to be seen.

The most telling poster is Tina Goldstein (Katherine Waterston) paired up with Yusuf Kama (William Nadylam), a French-African wizard said to be from a pure-blood family. He and Tina will be in Europe, tracking down Credence. Why do they want him? Are they working together or are they trying to get him separately? We’ll have to wait just a little longer to find out the answer for that.

As if that wasn’t enough, each poster hides some beasts in each of the borders. Newt, of course, has the most beasts including the Niffler and Bowtruckle. But Leta has the raven in hers. If you recall from the previous character posters, she had the same bird in it and mentioned a prophecy. What does the raven and a prophecy have to do with one another? It’s so exciting, I can’t wait to find out!

Check out the character posters below and let us know what you think! Be sure to come back to Geek Girl Authority for more magical news. Fantastic Beasts: The Crimes of Grindelwald apparates into theaters November 16th, 2018.
