Today is a good day for younger fans of the wizarding world. According to Pottermore, WB is hosting an open casting call to join the Fantastic Beasts and Where To Find Them sequel film! And they’re big roles, too.
WB is looking for 5 young actors and actresses to play younger versions of key characters. They’re looking for a young Newt Scamander, Leta Lestrange and new character called Sebastian to be played by actors between 13 and 16. They’re also looking for teenage Dumbledore and Grindlewald played by actors between 16 and 18. And no acting experience is required. For those unaware, Evanna Lynch was a fan of the series who attended an opening casting call. Now she’s our beloved Luna Lovegood.

The casting call announcement also offers details on filming. The young actors need to be available between August and November of this year as shooting for the sequel begins this summer. They also need to be available to film in the UK, seeing as all of their scenes will likely take place at Hogwarts. Be sure to get your applications in because the closing time for applications is June 20th!
