“I don’t want to see tomorrow…”
“…unless I see it with you.” Prime Video’s Fallout utilizes Nat King Cole’s “I Don’t Want To See Tomorrow” beautifully in its teaser trailer. Cole’s buttery smooth vocals are punctuated by bursts of crimson violence and strange beasts as they scurry across the Wasteland.
CCXP premiered the teaser to a packed house during Saturday’s panel. The panelists included executive producer and director Jonathan Nolan; co-showrunner, writer and executive producer Graham Wagner; and series stars Ella Purnell, Aaron Moten and Walton Goggins. In addition to the trailer, Amazon unveiled four character posters for Lucy, The Ghoul, Maximus and Dog.

Surviving the Fallout
Here’s a synopsis for the eight-episode series per Amazon Studios:
“Based on one of the greatest video game series of all time, Fallout is the story of haves and have-nots in a world in which there’s almost nothing left to have. Two hundred years after the apocalypse, the gentle denizens of luxury fallout shelters are forced to return to the irradiated hellscape their ancestors left behind—and are shocked to discover an incredibly complex, gleefully weird, and highly violent universe waiting for them.”
Purnell portrays Lucy, Moten is Maximus, Kyle MacLachlan is Overseer Hank and Goggins plays The Ghoul. Co-showrunning, executive producing and writing alongside Wagner is Geneva Robertson-Dworet. Nolan’s Westworld and The Peripheral partner, Lisa Joy, is also an executive producer. Nolan will direct the first three episodes.

I’m excited to immerse myself in this world. This teaser feels more like a full-length trailer, but I love the deep dive it gives us. I’m thoroughly impressed so far. Bring on all the dark whimsy, ultraviolence and sci-fi goodness.
See what tomorrow brings in the post-apocalypse when Fallout takes Prime Video by storm on April 12, 2024. Check out the new character posters and watch the teaser trailer below.
Will you tune in for all the tongue-in-cheek gore and dystopian action when the series premieres next spring? Sound off in the comments!
