The Falcon and the Winter Soldier is premiering in one week, Marvel fans! This is not a drill! On Friday, the comic book gods blessed us with not one, but two exclusive new clips from the upcoming series.
Now, the first is titled “The Big Three.” We already received a taste of this scene earlier this week. However, in this one-minute snippet, we see Sam (Anthony Mackie) and Bucky (Sebastian Stan) delve deeper into what constitutes the world’s biggest threats. Per Sam’s definition, we know the Big Three are “androids, aliens and wizards.” Sam wants to utilize Redwing to assess the threat level of a new, and potentially formidable, terrorist group. However, Bucky doesn’t trust Redwing.
Next, the pair proceed to bicker over whether the Big Three is a real, legitimate thing or if it’s of Sam’s devising. Bucky tries to use Gandalf from The Hobbit to debunk Sam’s theory since “wizards aren’t real.” Hey, Bucky read The Hobbit in 1937. Respect your elders, Sam! Sam attempts to counter with Dr. Strange, but Bucky reminds him that the Sorcerer Supreme is just that … a sorcerer. “A sorcerer is a wizard without a hat,” Sam replies. Game, set, match!

The other clip is entitled “What’s the Plan.” We see Bucky and Sam are sitting on a plane and preparing to embark on a presumably dangerous mission. Bucky asks Sam to divulge the plan. Sam remains silent as he gets ready for the task at hand. He refers to Bucky as “Buck,” but only Steve Rogers can call him that. Plus, Steve always had a plan stored away in his world-saving arsenal. Sam reveals he has a plan, but prior to revealing it, he dives out of the plane.
I’m so excited for The Falcon and the Winter Soldier and the exclusive teasers perfectly heighten my anticipation. I’ve loved this pairing since Captain America: Civil War. I hope Marvel continues to lean into the humorous aspects of this series because they’re so adept at comedy.
You can watch the clips below. The Falcon and the Winter Soldier stars Anthony Mackie, Sebastian Stan, Emily VanCamp, Wyatt Russell and Daniel Brühl. Brace yourselves for impact when your favorite dynamic duo soars onto Disney Plus on Friday, March 19.
