“They need you, Cap.” “Damn right.” Marvel unleashed a new sneak peek for The Falcon and the Winter Soldier on Thursday! The highly anticipated Disney Plus series teased Sam Wilson a.k.a. Falcon’s (Anthony Mackie) continuation of the Captain America legacy.
Now, we know that Sam and Bucky Barnes a.k.a. The Winter Soldier (Sebastian Stan) are teaming up to embark on a “global adventure that tests their abilities — and their patience.” As per Marvel’s usual, not much else regarding the plot is common knowledge. Judging by The Falcon and the Winter Soldier teaser, Zemo (Daniel Brühl) is on the warpath. His mission? Eradicate all superheroes. Essentially, it would appear he’s resuming the task he started in Captain America: Civil War. In said teaser, he reveals that “superheroes shouldn’t exist.”

Additionally, we see what looks like a half-time show at a football game. It’s Captain America-themed. We see the backside of someone donning the famous Cap suit taking center stage on the field. Most likely, it’s an homage to Steve Rogers. Regardless, it’s a nice nod to Captain America: The First Avenger.
That’s not all! We get a sneak peek of Erin Kellyman‘s character as she slips on a mask. Methinks she’s a villain of some sort here. Undoubtedly, the best moment in The Falcon and the Winter Soldier teaser is when Bucky tells Sam that “They need you, Cap.” Sam’s response? “Damn right.” We love that confidence! There’s also a shot of Sam throwing the Cap shield, which makes the transition of power feel all the more official.
