Now, not much is known regarding the six-episode show’s plot. Disney Plus’ media site notes that Sam Wilson (Anthony Mackie) and Bucky Barnes (Sebastian Stan) “team up on a global adventure that tests their abilities — and their patience.” They did come together at the end of Avengers: Endgame whenever Steve Rogers (Chris Evans) passed the legendary Captain America shield on to Sam.
Judging by these images, our new favorite Marvel team-up is in for a whirlwind of escapades. One photo that sticks out to me showcases Sam donning a suit and placing the Cap shield on a bed. The prevailing theory is that he’ll attend Steve Rogers’ funeral at some point in The Falcon and the Winter Soldier. My guess is the series may open with said funeral. Another image features Sam, Bucky and Sharon Carter (Emily VanCamp) in a seemingly high-stakes situation. Guns are out and ready to go!
Some photos showcase Sam and Bucky in their respective costumes as the Falcon and the Winter Soldier. Meanwhile, other pictures boast the pair in their civilian garb. No images of Zemo (Daniel Brühl), but I suspect that Marvel wants to keep his role under wraps.
You can check out the photos below. The Falcon and the Winter Soldier stars Anthony Mackie, Sebastian Stan, Emily VanCamp, Daniel Brühl and Wyatt Russell. Watch this duo soar into action when the series debuts on March 19, only on Disney Plus.
