Welcome to this week’s installment of F2P Friday, where we highlight our favorite Free-2-Play games. The video game market is oversaturated, and sometimes, hidden gems fall through the cracks. This is where we do the digging for you and feature a new F2P game every week that we know you will enjoy. Let’s dive in!

My Sticker Book

My Sticker Book is the adorably horrid story of a little girl on her journey for a late-night drink. Move stickers to the correct positions to banish the monsters in the dark and complete your sticker book.

The Basics

My Sticker Book is a puzzle platformer. You’ll move through the 2-D environment using the A & D as your directional keys and the space bar to jump. Additionally, you’ll have to click and drag different stickers spread out through the environment to solve puzzle prompts.

Because the game contains no dialogue, each puzzle prompt is presented through a simple drawing on a scrap piece of paper. The player must then use the clues in the environment to position the stickers, evade the monsters and progress on their journey to retrieve a glass of water.

My best tip for this game is that you can move your character while she is standing on the stickers. There are a few places where the platforming required is too high for your tiny legs, but hopping onto a sticker and moving it solves this issue.

Why Should I Play?

A girl wearing a pink dress stands on her bed in her room in a still from the video game My Sticker Book.

Why should you play My Sticker Book? I was immediately drawn to this game’s premise and art style as it reminded me of Fran Bow. I love the idea of mixing imaginary elements with mundane life events and giving them a dark theming. With the creepy imagery and light jumpscares, I would label this game as something between a mystery game and horror.

The music is perfectly suited for the tone of the game. The main melody sounds like a lullaby played on a child’s music box, making the sounds of the monsters all the more jarring.

Be warned; there is no save function in My Sticker Book. It isn’t needed, though, as the game takes only 5-10 minutes to playthrough, but if you choose to come back later, know you’ll start again from scratch.

Have a F2P game you’d like us to check out? Played this one before? We love to hear from you gamers in the comments. If you are ready to brave the night, you can find My Sticker Book on Steam here!
