Welcome to this week’s installment of F2P Friday, where we highlight our favorite Free-2-Play games. The video game market is oversaturated, and sometimes, hidden gems fall through the cracks. This is where we do the digging for you and feature a new F2P game we know you will enjoy every week. Let’s dive in.

Ducks Can Drive

If ducks can drive, then they can race. Earn money by delivering food to fellow ducks in the city, then use this money to upgrade your vehicle. The better the car, the better chance you have to win the race at the end of the day.

The Basics

Let’s get down to the basics. Ducks Can Drive is a racing game with package delivery elements. The game was made by a single person, Joseph Cook, and is set in a duck-based world. The gameplay reminds me a lot of Crazy Taxi with the handling and racing style.

The basic premise of the game is that you drive around delivering bread. The more bread you deliver, the more money you earn to upgrade your car. After your load is dropped off, you can unwind by racing against your buddies.

Why Should I Play?

Why should you play Ducks Can Drive? One of the biggest reasons to play the game is the co-op functionality. Unfortunately, I didn’t have anyone to play with to test it out, but the single-player experience was solid and fun.

The handling for the cars is polished and feels satisfying as you whip through the city making money. The artwork is brightly colored and fun, though simple. You can skip using headphones for this game, as there isn’t any music.

Think you’ve got the feathers to brave the streets of Ducks Can Drive? You can download it for free on Steam here!
