Filed in the “didn’t know you wanted it until you saw it” category, a Marvel fan recreated this poster for Bryan Cranston’s upcoming film, The Infiltrator, about an undercover federal agent, to look like a completely different biopic — one for Stan Lee. Stan “the man” Lee, originator of much of the Marvel universe as we know it. Well, originator along with Jack Kirby and Steve Ditko.
Just look at it. Cap’s shield. Iron Man’s helmet. The Aviators, the mustache — it all very legitimately works. Even the tag line, “The best way to rule the universe is to create it,” is brilliant as it works on so many levels. As kind and grandfatherly as we all see our Generalisimo, there are certainly some … narcissism-fueled power trips, shall we say, that blemish his past.
It’s safe to say more than a few of us nerds have thought about writing a Stan Lee biopic — now you have the motivation!
