According to Variety, Ewan McGregor is in final talks to join Christopher Robin. The latest in Disney live-action films, it’s story will revolve around the titular character as he’s grown older.

Christoper Robin has grown up and left the Hundred Acre Wood. He’s lost his imagination, but Pooh Bear and his friends find their way into Christopher’s life again to gain it back. While there is no other plot points revealed at this time, we now know they’re searching for a much older man to fill the role. There is also no mention as to how the characters of the Hundred Acre Wood will be “live-action” but it’s certainly an interesting thought.

McGregor has been making the rounds in projects such as another live-action Disney film, Beauty and the Beast. He’s also been prominent on the Netflix series Fargo for season 3. One can never have enough Ewan McGregor, to be honest. But his resurgance in film has been a welcome one. Should he be cast, he will join director Marc Forster and a new writer, Allison Schroeder.
