Brace yourselves, The Mandalorian fans! The Star Wars TV property will soon grace our screens again and Entertainment Weekly has the scoop! EW released a slew of their signature (and exclusive) first look photos for The Mandalorian Season Two. Praise be to The Child!
Now, the photos showcase our protagonists (well, more like antiheroes) in their element. The Mandalorian (Pedro Pascal) with The Child by his side. Cara Dune (Gina Carano) looking like the badass she is. Greef Karga (Carl Weathers) undoubtedly trying to swindle someone. Even Moff Gideon (Giancarlo Esposito) has his own photo, looking as menacing and formidable as when he made his first appearance in the Season One finale.
Some new additions will be joining Mando for Season Two. Rosario Dawson is joining the galactic fray as Star Wars: The Clone Wars fan favorite Ashoka Tano. Battlestar Galactica‘s Katee Sackhoff will portray Bo-Katan Kryze. She also voiced Bo-Katan in Clone Wars. Temuera Morrison, who played Jango Fett in the Star Wars prequels, is purported to be a clone trooper or bounty hunter. Lastly, Deadwood‘s Timothy Olyphant and Michael Biehn will play unknown characters.

The Mandalorian‘s first season premiered on Disney+ to rave reviews from critics and audiences alike. Showrunner Jon Favreau had a hit on his hands. The series was even nominated for 15 Emmy Awards in July, which is unprecedented for a genre show. Season One ended with the reveal of super villain Moff Gideon (Esposito) and our core trio continuing on as bounty hunters together. I’m especially tickled to see more of Gideon. I think I’ve come to expect Esposito to be the antagonist in all major shows. He’s just so damn good at being bad.
