SciGirls is a show on PBS dedicated to changing the way tweens think about science, engineering, technology and math. I watched a couple of episodes and wished I had had something comparable when I was a tween instead of my science teacher who only liked to jam out to Beatles songs on his guitar. During class. SciGirls does an amazing job of being educational, entertaining and accessible.
SciGirls is a new show for kids ages 8-12 that showcases bright, curious real tween girls putting science and engineering to work in their everyday lives. Each half-hour episode follows a different group of middle school girls, whose eagerness to find answers to their questions will inspire your children to explore the world around them and discover that science and technology are everywhere!-PBS.Org
Another great aspect to this show is that it requires a parent and child involvement. With every episode there are activities and learning goals and they will help you find a science club in your area to join!
