The highly anticipated, big-budget Lord of the Rings television series from Amazon is on the casting march.  Deadline reported Tuesday that Ema Horvath (Don’t Look Deeperhas joined the main cast of LOTR.  Amazon has yet to confirm the casting.

Pre-production for the prequel to The Fellowship of the Ring is gearing up in New Zealand.  Horvath will be joining Will Poulter, Markella Kavenagh and Joseph Mawle in the “core cast” of the show.  There is no word on what role Horvath will be playing, but she looks awfully elven to us!

Season two of the show has already been ordered, and the writing staff will take a 4 to 5 month hiatus after shooting the first two episodes of season 1 to write and map out season two.  Showrunners and executive producers J.D. Payne and Patrick McKay will lead that charge.  Holy hobits, that’s exciting!

We’ll be keeping you abreast of all developments Middle Earth.  We can’t wait to see this show!
