The trailer for Spider-Man: Far From Home has finally dropped! The main gist of it is that, despite the events in Avengers: Infinity War, Peter Parker (Tom Holland) is very much alive and preparing to take a European vacation with his friends Ned (Jacob Batalon) and MJ (Zendaya). It’s all going well and good until Nick Fury (Samuel L. Jackson) crashes the party and puts Peter to work as Nick Fury is known to do. Along with this trailer comes some exciting Easter Eggs that may have only appeared for just a second but deserve to be be pointed out. Here’s just a handful!

Aunt May Knows Peter is Spider-Man and Seems Cool With It

Probably something obvious and kinda sweet to point out is that Aunt May (Marisa Tomei) not only knows Peter is Spider-Man but seems cool with it. This isn’t a surprise with the ending of Spider-Man: Homecoming. In the beginning of the trailer Peter and May share a high five after a seemingly successful charity event while Peter is still in his suit. Then, in the mist of Peter packing for his trip, May can be heard casually reminding her nephew to make sure he packs his suit. Whether or not he listens is up for debate.

Pepper Potts Appearance

Oh, did you miss the surprising appearance of Pepper Potts (Gwyneth Paltrow)? Okay, I can’t totally blame you as Pepper isn’t actually seen. But her name is! In the very beginning of the trailer, Happy Hogan (Jon Favreau) clumsily shoves a $500,000 check through the door he is trying to get through. The check is from the Stark Relief Foundation, a foundation created by Tony Stark (Robert Downey Jr.) to help people affected by any damage the Avengers caused. And it’s signed by the foundation’s co-founder, Pepper Potts!

Uncle Ben’s Suitcase

The suitcase Peter uses is an older one that appears to have belonged to his late Uncle Ben Parker. BFP does indicate Ben had a middle name though nobody is sure what the F stands for.

Passport Date

A fun little nod to the entire Spider-Man franchise can be seen for a split second on Peter’s passport. Among his general information is Peter’s birthday, August 10th. This just so happens to be the date Spider-Man made his comic debut in Amazing Fantasy issue 15 back on August 10th, 1962. Coincidence? No way. Another interesting thing to point out is that the passport’s date of issue is missing the year. This just begs the question: what year does this movie take place in?

Avenger’s Tower

A quick appearance is made by the Avengers Tower while Spider-Man swings though the city. There appears to be some construction going on to the building though it isn’t clear if it’s due to damage in this new movie or this is just Tony Stark adding some finishing touches.

The Villains

Along with Jake Gyllenhaal’s character, Mysterio, we see the appearance of three other baddies called the Elementals- Magnum, Hellfire, Hydron that Mysterio is fighting for some reason.

The Stealth Suit

Looks like the Spidey suit is given another upgrade in the form of a very stealthy suit. It’s all black, combat ready and seems to come with some kind of goggles. Could this suit be a gift from Nick Fury for ruining Peter’s vacation? If not, it should be.

Peter Parker and his friends go on summer vacation to Europe, where Peter finds himself trying to save his friends against a villain known as Mysterio.

Spider-Man: Far From Home swings into theaters on July 5th, 2019!
