Sony E3

Sony broke the mold this week at E3, many around the industry and social media proclaiming the press conference the undisputed winner of the trade show.  The presser was impressive boasting trailer, after trailer, after reveal, after announcement, after surprise all accompanied by live orchestra and singers.

There was so much shown and announced I’ve done my best to collect everything from the press event in one post.  Enjoy!

I’ll update this post throughout the week as more things are revealed.

Death Stranding – In Development for Ps4

Personally, this game has two things going for it: Hideo Kojima and Norman Reedus.  Just ONE of those things would have me excited for the game, but we have both.

Here’s my wallet.  You win, Sony, you win.

God of War: A New Beginning – In Development for PS4

Kratos, you know him, you love him, or not, but you can’t get enough of him.  Here you go, here’s more Kratos this time taking on Norse Mythology.

Days Gone – In Development for PS4

Days Gone is an open-world action-adventure game set in a harsh wilderness two years after a devastating global pandemic. Play as Deacon St. John, a Drifter and bounty hunter who rides the broken road, fighting to survive while searching for a reason to live.

At its core, Days Gone is about survivors and what makes them human: desperation, loss, madness, betrayal, friendship, brotherhood, regret, love – and hope. It’s about how even when confronted with such enormous tragedy they find a reason to live. Hope never dies.

Also, it’s another zombie game.  Really.

The Last Guardian – October 25, 2016

I really don’t think this needs much commentary.  It’s amazing.

Horizon Zero Dawn – February 28, 2017

Launching February 28, 2017, Horizon Zero Dawn is an exhilarating new open-world action role playing game exclusively for the PlayStation 4 System, developed by the award winning Guerrilla Games, creators of PlayStation’s venerated Killzone franchise.

Take on the role of skilled hunter Aloy as you explore a vibrant and lush world inhabited by mysterious mechanized creatures.

Embark on a compelling, emotional journey and unravel mysteries of tribal societies, ancient artifacts and advanced technologies that will determine the fate of this planet, and of life itself.

Detroit Become Human – In Development for Ps4

From what I gather it’s a choose your own adventure game.  You play an android named Connor and the choices you make directly impact the outcome of the story.

Looking at the trailer I’m unsure if you can rewind the story to make new choices for new outcomes or if they were just demonstrating the impact the choices you make have on the story.

As release gets closer I’m sure everything will be clear.

Spider-Man – In Development for Ps4

There really ins’t much to say about this one, the game is still in development and Spidey is sporting a brand new suit.

Resident Evil VII – January 24, 2017

Available for both VR and non VR, I’m sure this will cause many people sleepless nights.

Final Fantasy XV

Also appearing as both a VR and non VR experience.
