Duolingo Unleashed
Sometimes, you need a bit of comedy. And what could be better than Karen Buchanan and Kylie “Kole” Hunsinger’s Duolingo Unleashed? Everyone has seen the cute, adorable Owl Duo. But this little guy has been overwhelmed by his workload. It takes a lot to teach so many different languages. So when presented with a free clone machine, it’s a no-brainer that he needs two of himself. But how many are too many? And what happens when everything starts to blow up in Duo’s face?
We love the Duolingo app, so, of course, we had to check out Duolingo Unleashed. Work can always get a bit stressful; we know all about it. So, understanding Duo’s stress is easy. And we are sure that sometimes everyone wishes they had a clone. But do we ever stop and think about what that might lead to? We love the hysterical situations Duo finds himself in due to his clones. But we also love the idea that we are unique and what it truly means to be yourself. It’s a short series but worth the read.

Introverted Us
Our second series this week is NA’s Introverted Us. The comedy WEBTOON follows Jayu Nam, a typical wallflower. She is quiet, sticks to herself, and mainly just trying to get through school alive. In a chance encounter, she uncovers that the most popular boy in school, Jahyeok Yeo, is also an introvert. Unfortunately, his good looks force him into social situations he would much rather avoid. So what happens when two introverts find comfort and friendship in each other?
We can fully understand Jayu and Jahyeok’s need for quiet in Introverted Us. The world is loud, and when everyone is seeking your attention, like in Jahyeok’s case, it can be overwhelming. We love seeing how Jayu can grow with the support of Jahyeok in a way that doesn’t make either uncomfortable. It’s a warming relationship that reminds us that there is always someone out there who will understand. The funny moments keep the story light and enjoyable.
