The teaser trailer for Dune debuted today on the film’s Twitter page. There’s no action, only the faces of the cast set to the Litany of Fear recited by Paul Atreides (Timothée Chalamet).
This first official teaser features the faces of Gurney Halleck (Josh Brolin), Chani (Zendaya), Stilgar (Javier Bardem), Paul Atreides, Duke Leto Atreides (Oscar Isaac), Duncan Idaho (Jason Momoa) and Lady Jessica (Rebecca Ferguson). Paul whispers the litany and then the logo pops up. A list of the featured cast is shown before a close up of Chalamet as Paul. That cast also includes Charlotte Rampling, Stellan Skarsgård, Dave Bautista, Stephen McKinley Henderson, Chang Chen and Sharon Duncan-Brewster.

A short teaser appeared exclusively in the previews ahead of Tenet. That teaser hasn’t been officially released, but someone leaked it on Twitter for a day. The bootleg footage was eventually taken down. That teaser primarily focused on Bene Gesserit Reverend Mother Gaius Helen Mohiam (Rampling) testing Paul with the Gom Jabbar. I’m expecting this footage to show up in the full trailer.
Based on the novel by Frank Herbert, Denis Villeneuve directed Dune. Villeneuve co-wrote the script with Eric Roth and Jon Spaihts. He also serves as producer with Mary Parent and Cale Boyter. Executive producers are Brian Herbert, Byron Merritt, Thomas Tull and Kim Herbert for the Herbert family
Check out the official teaser and keep an eye on Geek Girl Authority for the latest on Dune. The full trailer will release on September 9 on Twitter.
