Here’s a synopsis for the Dune sequel per Warner Bros. MediaPass:

Dune: Part Two will explore the mythic journey of Paul Atreides as he unites with Chani and the Fremen while on a warpath of revenge against the conspirators who destroyed his family. Facing a choice between the love of his life and the fate of the known universe, he endeavors to prevent a terrible future only he can foresee.”

At CinemaCon in April, stars Timothée Chalamet and Zendaya and Villeneuve teased the highly anticipated sequel for attendees. Here’s what Villeneuve had to say:

Part Two is an epic war movie, much more dense. We visited Arrakis. We visit new locations; everything is new in the film. In the first movie, we shot 40% in Imax — this time, it’s full Imax.”

Zendaya added:

“She’s not just in dreams this time. I only got a small time to find out who she was [in Part One]. … These are still two young people who are trying to grow up, fall in love and leave, being a warrior for your people.”
