War Is Coming to Arrakis
The spice must flow in 2024. On Tuesday, Warner Bros. Pictures and Legendary Pictures unleashed the third official trailer for Denis Villeneuve‘s Dune: Part Two. If you’re a fan of sweeping visuals, a sprawling, epic narrative and Hans Zimmer‘s boisterous score punctuating the action, this 166-minute sequel might be for you.
Here’s the synopsis for the highly anticipated flick per Warner Bros. MediaPass:
“Dune: Part Two will explore the mythic journey of Paul Atreides as he unites with Chani and the Fremen while on a path of revenge against the conspirators who destroyed his family. Facing a choice between the love of his life and the fate of the known universe, he endeavors to prevent a terrible future only he can foresee.”

The Stacked Cast and Crew
Dune: Part Two stars Timothée Chalamet, Zendaya, Rebecca Ferguson, Josh Brolin, Javier Bardem, Florence Pugh, Austin Butler, Léa Seydoux, Stellan Skarsgård, Dave Bautista, Charlotte Rampling, Stephen McKinley Henderson, Christopher Walken and Tim Blake Nelson. Villeneuve directs the movie from a script he wrote with Jon Spaihts. It’s adapted from the 1965 Frank Herbert novel of the same name.
The trailer showcases Paul (Chalamet) and Chani’s (Zendaya) love story and his dilemma as he reminds viewers about just how long his family has fought the Harkonnens. We also get a better glimpse at Butler’s Feyd-Rautha Harkonnen and his ruthlessness, while Pugh’s Princess Irulan feels it’s unnecessary to summon him.
Additionally, the trailer hones in on the burgeoning war at play and the class dichotomy/politics in this fictional universe. The gorgeous imagery, heart-pounding action and score are plenty to immerse you in Villeneuve’s sci-fi saga.
