Drizzt Do’Urden holds a special place in the hearts of Dungeons and Dragons fans around the world. The dark elf warrior was created thirty years ago by New York Times best selling author R.A. Salvatore and has since appeared in several novels, video games, and table top gaming campaigns. R.A Salvatore is now ready to continue not only Drizzt’s story but also his father’s in this all new trilogy. Timeless is bringing fans of the fantasy series back to what they truly love: fighting, magic and adventure. The book looks to draw in long time fans of Drizzt while also working as a welcoming gateway for those new to the series. R.A. Timeless brings together two unlikely heroes as readers are reintroduced to the Underdark through their eyes. Centuries prior in Menzoberranzan—the City of Spiders and home to the drow within the Underdark of Toril, the great young weapon master Zaknafein rose far above his station, catching the eye of Malic, a powerful Matron. Wishing to take him as her own she sets Jarlaxle out to catch him. This sparks two very key moments, the coupling of Malice and Zaknafein which would produce Drizzt and the friendship between Zaknafein and Jarlaxle. 

Both father and son must work together in a series of trials as each deal with their differing alignments. Zaknafein must learn to accept and let go of years of prejudice ingrained from birth against the world and companions of his son. They both can agree on one thing however, the goddess Lolth, who has unleashed her demons on the unknowing inhalants of the surface world, must be stopped. They will need to set aside their differences to help protect the ones they love.
