The new Dracula series from Stephen Moffat, Mark Gatiss and the BBC looks so bloody good.  In a short video, this week, the two join members of the cast in bringing us a look behind the scenes of the show.

The video gives pretty fun insight into casting the show, and the direction that Moffat and Gatiss want to take the well-known blood-sucking main character.  Most notable to us was the dilemma the pair that gave us Sherlock faced in making the bad guy the main character and the center of the storytelling.  As they point out, Dracula doesn’t actually show up in the book all that much.

In Transylvania in 1897, the blood-drinking Count is drawing his plans against Victorian London. And be warned: the dead travel fast.

Dracula’s first season will air in three 90-minute episodes, a la Sherlock.  It is streaming now, on Netflix.  Get a taste.
