“We’re all the way through the looking glass.” We most certainly are! The Twitter account for DC’s Doom Patrol blessed us with an official teaser and premiere date for Season Three on Monday!
If you’ll recall, our group of misfits faced off against the Candlemaker in the Season Two finale. According to the HBO Max press release, “Season Three opens on the culmination of Dorothy’s (Abi Monterey) confrontation with the Candlemaker that leads to a devastating loss. The Doom Patrol is at a difficult crossroads, and each member struggles to face who they are and who they want to be.
And things get a whole lot more complicated when Madame Rouge (Michelle Gomez) arrives in a time machine with a very specific mission, if only she could remember it.”

Madame Rouge is a leading member of the Brotherhood of Evil. She’s not the only new addition joining Doom Patrol for Season Three. The series also introduces the Sisterhood of Dada (Brotherhood of Dada in the comics) and the Dead Boy Detective Agency.
In the official teaser, you can see an amalgam of past footage as well as new clips. There are voiceovers from our core cast accompanied by trippy visuals. It wouldn’t be Doom Patrol without some WTF imagery. Overall, if the one-minute video is any indication, this season is shaping up to be a whirlwind of strangeness.
Doom Patrol stars Diane Guerrero, Brendan Fraser, April Bowlby, Joivan Wade, Matt Bomer and Timothy Dalton. Strap in for the trip of a lifetime when the series premieres on Thursday, September 23, with three new episodes, only on HBO Max. You can watch the teaser below.
