Donald Glover Agrees! Lando Calrissian Is Pansexual

I’m so glad to hear this news. Donald Glover who plays Lando Calrissian in the upcoming Solo: A Star Wars Story recently sat down with Entertainment Weekly for their podcast. While there, they couldn’t resist asking his response to the news that Lando could be pansexual, as one of the writers agreed with. And luckily for us, Glover feels the same way as Jonathan Kasdan, Lando is pansexual.

During the Town Hall segment of a Solo: A Star Wars Story special on the podcast, Glover replied to the question with such fun.

How can you not be pansexual in space? There are so many things to have sex with. I didn’t think that was that weird. Yeah, he’s coming on to everybody. I mean, yeah, whatever. It just didn’t seem that weird to me ‘cause I feel like if you’re in space it’s kind of like, the door is open! It’s like, no, only guys or girls. No, it’s anything. This thing is literally a blob. Are you a man or a woman? Like, who cares? Have good time out here.

I mean – you can’t argue with that! Lando is such a flirtaous man, it just makes sense that he’d try with anyone and anything. Glover cited Billy Dee Williams advice to “be charming” as his navigation to the character. Though he admits that he didn’t think too hard on Lando’s sexuality when acting, it just makes sense. Have fun in space!
